Themed Entertainment Association Certified Trade Mission, September 11, 2024
This exclusive event provided a unique platform for leading professionals, such as theme park operators, casino operators, hotel chains, to meet with members of the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), fostering collaboration and driving innovation in the sector.
The mini trade show served as a meeting point for U.S. companies to showcase their cutting-edge products and solutions, while also allowing local industry leaders in Hong Kong and across Asia to explore new opportunities in immersive experiences, attraction design, and entertainment technologies. The Hong Kong segment provided an unparalleled platform for collaboration and growth, enabling U.S. fintechs to build strategic alliances, gain a deeper understanding of Asia’s financial landscape, and unlock new business opportunities in one of the world’s most dynamic markets. U.S. Pavilion Shines at Cosmoprof Asia 2024
U.S. beauty companies made a powerful return to Cosmoprof Asia, held November 13–15, 2024, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. As Asia’s largest beauty trade show, Cosmoprof Asia hosted over 2,400 exhibitors and drew 60,000 attendees, providing an essential platform for global networking.
At the opening ceremony, U.S. Consul General Gregory May highlighted Hong Kong's role as a regional cosmetics hub and commended U.S. companies for their commitment to this dynamic market. Through the U.S. Commercial Service Hong Kong’s Trade Events Partnership Program (TEPP), American exhibitors connected with buyers from 13 countries across Asia-Pacific, Australia, and the Middle East. Additionally, an exclusive networking reception at the U.S. Consul General’s Residence introduced seven California companies, recipients of the State of California Trade Grant, to key buyers. The U.S. Commercial Service Hong Kong was proud to support these initiatives, showcasing American innovation and fostering impactful partnerships in APAC.
Enrollment Management Association – US Boarding Schools Fair, Nov 13, 2024
This event was co-organized by the Enrollment Management Association (EMA), a professional organization in the United States focused on promoting student success through effective enrollment management practices. EMA provides resources, training, and networking opportunities for professionals involved in secondary education admissions, financial aid, and student services.
On November 13, thirty-one U.S. boarding schools participated in the fair at the Kowloon Shangri-La Hotel in Hong Kong. The event offered a unique opportunity for schools to connect with local education agents and discuss student recruitment for studying in the U.S. During the fair, schools engaged in private 20-minute one-on-one sessions with various agents, gaining insights into the landscape of Hong Kong students and their institutions. The fair also provided U.S. schools with an opportunity to connect with potential partners in Hong Kong.
