From November 12-20, Under Secretary Lago will lead an Innovative Technologies for Urban Infrastructure Development Mission to the Philippines and Indonesia. The Mission aims to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange between mission delegates and local stakeholders in smart city development and digital ecosystems. The mission will provide delegates with a comprehensive understanding of the "tech" markets in the Philippines and Indonesia, fostering collaboration, innovation, and sustainable development opportunities.

Under Secretary Lago has extensive experience on urban and economic development in the State and City of New York and the City of Boston, and we are thrilled to have her represent the U.S. Department of Commerce on this mission.

Trade Mission Details

When: November 12-20, 2024

Where: The Philippines & Indonesia 

Mission participants will engage in:

• US Embassy market briefings of the Philippines and Indonesia
• Site visits to connect with government agencies (Manila City Hall, Indonesian Ministry of Home Affairs, Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, etc)
• Pre-scheduled B2B and B2G meetings in Manila and Jakarta
• Site visits to regional tech hubs
• 2 Networking Receptions
• Optional visit to Indonesia’s new capital city, Nusantara

Who should apply?

Companies involved in Urban Infrastructure Development, or related industries, are encouraged to apply. This includes AI, Cybersecurity, Digital Economy, Energy and Environmental Technology, Building Technology, ICT, Smart City Technologies and Services, Telecommunications, Transportation and Urban Mobility.
