Invitation to the 7th US-UK Small and Medium Enterprise Dialogue
Small business stakeholders are cordially invited to attend the 7th US-UK Small and Medium Enterprise Dialogue. Topics for discussion include an update on U.S.-UK trade; SMEs and clean tech solutions in U.S.-UK green technology trade; trade & investment opportunities and challenges for tribal, rural, and minority-owned businesses; growth opportunities in U.S.-UK services trade; and challenges SMEs face in trading in U.S. and UK markets.
The 7th U.S.-UK SME Dialogue will take place on October 5th in Indio, located in the Coachella Valley of Southern California. The event is being hosted by the Cabazon band of Cahuilla Indians in partnership with the U.S. Department of Commerce’s U.S. Commercial Service, the British Embassy, and the UK Consulate in California. This marks the first time the United States will hold an SME Dialogue with a Native American Tribal host.

Transportation & Logistics Mission to Saudi Arabia
This mission will include one-on-one business appointments with potential buyers, distributors, and joint venture partners. The Commerce Department launched the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF) to help U.S. companies participate in the EU-U.S. DPF and facilitate cross-border transfers of personal data in compliance with EU law. The Data Privacy Framework provides an affordable and direct mechanism for personal data transfers from Europe while ensuring data protection that is consistent with EU, UK, and Swiss law.

UK Government announces extension of CE mark recognition for businesses
Following Brexit, the UK government began working toward a national consumer safety standard to replace the CE Mark. However, as of Aug 1, 2023, following industry input and review, businesses are granted flexibility and choice to use either the UKCA or CE approach to sell products in Great Britain. Read more HERE

2023 National Export Strategy
The National Export Strategy (NES) outlines actions that the U.S. Government is pursuing to better equip American companies and workers to compete globally and grow through international trade.
