The Select Global Women in Tech (SGWIT) Mentorship Network introduces international female tech entrepreneurs to the U.S. market with the support of SelectUSA’s traditional data and counseling services as well as community, learning, and networking opportunities to promote American competitiveness and technology leadership and support women’s economic empowerment globally.
Who should mentor? U.S.-based successful entrepreneurs, corporate executives, venture capitalists, angel investors, and attorneys interested in supporting international female founders in their efforts to achieve their U.S. expansion goals.
What’s the commitment? Three 1:1 meetings over 6 months, kicking off at the 2023 Investment Summit, May 1-4, 2023. Mentors will be asked to be a sounding board and offer suggestions to help mentees overcome the challenges they face in scaling, promoting, fundraising, and generally establishing their businesses in the United States.
Mentorship applications are open until Friday, March 24, 2023, at 11:59 pm EDT.
At the 2023 SelectUSA Investment Summit, SelectUSA will be hosting multiple industry and regional pitching sessions for international startups to pitch their product and/or service to a panel of judges. SelectUSA is looking for venture capitalists, corporate investors, startup ecosystem representatives and industry thought leaders to offer their tech industry expertise to these international tech startups by being a judge for one of our SelectUSA Tech Pitching Sessions.
