INTERNATIONAL BUILDERS SHOW 2023
The U.S. Department of Commerce is excited to announce that we will return to NAHB International Builders’ Show®, bringing international buying delegates from Australia and Japan under our Trade Event Partnership Program! The International Builders' Show (IBS) typically brings together more than 1,400 top manufacturers and suppliers from around the globe in 600,000 net square feet of exhibit space, showcasing the latest and most in-demand products and services. As a special feature of this show, Commercial Specialists and Senior Trade Specialists from the U.S. Department of Commerce will be on hand to provide export counseling to U.S. exhibitors.

Rafael Nuñez Airport Expansion: Business Opportunities in Cartagena, Colombia
FCS Colombia will host a webinar on December 12th at 12:00 EST to present opportunities for U.S. construction, aviation, safety and security, and other firms to learn about the expansion plan.
Cartagena, a major tourist destination in Colombia, urgently needs to expand its current airport (Rafael Nuñez) to meet rapidly growing national and international demand. Rafael Núñez airport currently services 6 million passengers per year, representing a 128% increase compared to 2019. Due to the constant national and international tourist demand, it is expected that the airport’s passenger rate will keep growing.
Colombia’s Treasury Ministry recently approved the expansion which includes the expansion of the international terminal up to 17,360 meters and the expansion of the principal platform up to 99,770 meters.

Access Africa Now Virtual Event Series
Date: Second Wednesday of the Month, February through September, 2023
Access Africa Now is a virtual event series hosted by the US Department of Commerce that presents business opportunities in Africa. The series will cover eight markets including Kenya, South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, Mozambique, Tanzania, Angola and Ethiopia.

Natural Disasters Expo (Miami, FL March1-2, 2023)
The 2023 Natural Disasters Expo (NDE) has partnered with the U.S. Commercial Service to bring international buyer delegations to the show and arrange business to business meetings with U.S. companies. The show will be held on March 1 & 2, 2023 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, in Miami, Florida. NDE is a collection of shows running alongside of each other to highlight solutions in Heat & Fire, Flood, Earthquake, Storm, and Meteorology sectors.
This event will be the ultimate destination for disaster preparation specialists and emergency response professionals to source all the newest disaster-related products and services, maximize recovery methods and discover new ways to achieve community outreach and preparedness. The Natural Disaster Expo is planned to provide cutting-edge technology, expand relief program awareness, and cover the ins-and-outs of the natural disaster industry and emerging global trends.

Building the Future: Climate Actions Executive Forum
February 22-24, 2023, Mexico City
Sustentabilidad para México, A.C. (SUMe), Green Business Certification, Inc., and the U.S. Commercial Service Mexico are pleased to invite you to participate in the business forum: “Construyendo el Futuro, Foro Ejecutivo de Acciones Climáticas” or “Building the Future: Climate Action Executive Forum”.
The forum will feature different panels related to sustainable construction topics including current industry issues and actions needed to promote green building; highlight the importance of future LEED certifications within the sector; encourage and enhance the work of professionals in sustainable construction; and promote a continuous dialogue within the industry about decarbonization goals.
Opportunities for Sustainable Construction Products and Services Suppliers
The forum will provide the opportunity for U.S. suppliers of sustainable construction products and services to showcase their latest technologies to the event attendees through our Single Company Promotion service. You will have 20 minutes to present your company and showcase your products/services among a group of 3-5 Mexican companies interested in sustainable construction suppliers. U.S. companies will also be offered a breakfast briefing session to learn about opportunities in the Mexican market prior to the start of the forum.
