June Updates for U.S. Exporters

Dear Exporters:

As the summer season kicks off, it was great to connect with many of you at WasteExpo 2022 in Las Vegas last month. We're excited about a growing return to in-person events, and have several coming up we'd like to highlight. Our Discover Global Markets: The Blue Economy in Rhode Island will have a strong nexus with our water solutions providers (and other technologies focused on the ocean/blue resources). Then, we're excited to be partnering with the Water Environment Federation again to support U.S. exhibitors at WEFTEC 2022 in New Orleans, where we will be leading international buyer delegations and providing our B2B and B2G matchmaking solutions. More details about these, and other events are included below. Discover Global Markets: The Blue Economy

Tap Into International Blue Economy Opportunities

The Discover Global Markets (DGM) business development forum is the U.S. Department of Commerce’s flagship event series for U.S. exporters. The next forum will focus on the Blue Economy, which represents the use of ocean resources in support of national, economic, and environmental security and sustainable development of healthy ocean and coastal ecosystems.

Marine technologies are in demand for both large-scale foreign government projects, and independent, non-government organizations. In many cases, growth and demand abroad is higher than in the U.S. domestic market, and opportunities are wide-ranging.

This program includes a dynamic mix of plenary sessions, topical round-tables, prescheduled one-on-one meetings with U.S. commercial diplomats, buyers and ministry officials from key markets around the globe, and plenty of networking. Trade Leads and Tenders

The city of Bogotá and the Public Utility Administrative Unit (UAESP) will open a tender for a Solid Waste Thermal Valorization Plant (Solid Waste Thermal Recovery Plant/Waste to Energy) in the city of Bogota. All the tender documents are available here UAESP-LP-01-2022 (in Spanish).
