Overview of National Travel and Tourism Office Data Visualization Monitors

The National Travel and Tourism Office (NTTO) developed several data visualization tools to help Destination Marketing Organizations and other Travel & Tourism professionals better understand international visitation trends. These tools can be accessed by going to the NTTO Monitors-Interactive Data Tools tab found on NTTO’s research home page or by going to each Research Program landing page.

The goal of this free event is to demonstrate NTTO tools that can help you:

  • Visualize who is coming to your region from anywhere in the world
  • Leverage statistics to define your strengths and look for opportunities
  • Use these tools to target and attract specific types of international visitors

  • COVID-19 Travel Industry Monitor tracks the economic effects of COVID-19 on the travel industry.
  • ADIS/I-94 Visitor Arrivals Monitor (COR) illustrates visitation to the United States based on a Visitor's Country of Residence.
  • SIAT Inbound Survey Monitor enables users to interactively analyze the characteristics of overseas visitors from world Regions and countries to the United States at the national, state, and MSA level.
  • APIS/I92 Monitor enables users to interactively analyze U.S.-International Air Travel Statistics between the United and the rest of the world at the Country/City/Airport level of detail.
  • Monthly Trade Monitor summarizes monthly U.S. travel and tourism-related exports, imports, and the balance of trade.

International Travel Policy Updates

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is requiring all NON-US nationals crossing at our land border ports of entry to show proof of vaccination. This change does not apply to US nationals (citizens, green card holders, etc.). There is no COVID testing requirement, only proof of vaccination.
