June Updates for U.S. Exporters

This month we spotlight events showcasing cleantech opportunities in China, European product registration requirements, digital strategies for exporters, infrastructure opportunities in Israel, and more.  We also continue to highlight market opportunities in Mexico, Ecuador, and Peru, which our October 21-29, 2021 U.S. Environmental Technologies Trade Mission to Latin America will enable participants to pursue.  Limited spots remain for U.S. exporters to register their interest in joining us in October. We are also sharing several new trade leads seeking U.S. suppliers of specific goods and services in our Trade Leads Section. We continue to provide the latest information on our Industry Webpage, and we encourage you to reach out to a trade specialist at your local U.S. Export Assistance Center to discuss your export objectives.  If you need assistance locating your local point of contact, please email Ryan.Russell@trade.gov for assistance.

Join the U.S. Commercial Service for a back-to-back, two-session webinar on June 30 starting at 11:30am EDT with the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) to help U.S. exporters understand and comply with “Substances of Concern in Products” (SCIP) registration. The purpose of this webinar is to enhance U.S. companies’ understanding of, and compliance with, the registration requirements of SCIP as set out in the EU’s Waste Framework Directive. The U.S. Mission to the UE and ECHA, the lead agency on SCIP, will lead the sessions and a Q&A at the end of each session will allow for industry engagement. The first session is for companies with little to no experience with SCIP. The second session is for advanced users – companies that have been entering information into the database and are actively facing difficulties. Companies are welcome to attend one or both of the sessions.

*Participants must be U.S. domiciled companies and/or must have export content (i.e. exports from the United States to the EU). Participants' exports must fall under the purview of SCIP database requirements.
