The South Florida District Export Council, the U.S. Commercial Service, and the Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) are hosting a two-day program that will cover the main areas of export compliance. Speakers from the Census Bureau, Bureau of Industry and Security, Office of Foreign Assets Control, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls at the U.S. Department of State, and Customs and Border Protection, will deliver a full day of instruction covering major regulations, updates, and licensing requirements. The second day will consist of a Workshop where members of the South Florida District Export Council will offer hands on training on  how to set up an Export Compliance program, apply for licenses, generate reports in the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE), commodity classification, and much more.

  • Mandatory export filing requirements (EAR, ITAR, FTR, OFAC)
  • How to avoid common mistakes and penalties
  • Export control requirements
  • How to classify your product by Schedule B number and Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN)
  • Best practices for maintaining compliance with export regulations
  • License Preparation

All those involved in the export process: Freight Forwarders, Exporting Carriers, Consolidators, Compliance Software Providers, U.S. Customs Brokers, U.S. Principal Parties in Interest including Manufactures and Suppliers.
