1)    SHOWTIME

The U.S. Commercial Service, in cooperation with Kallman Worldwide, is pleased to announce that we will also be offering our SHOWTIME complimentary service at Arab Health 2018. This will be an opportunity for participating U.S. companies to meet one-on-one with our Embassy Industry Commercial Experts and Commercial Diplomats to discuss the particular markets   in the MENA region that they represent. Trade Show - Corporate Executive Office (CEO) Program at China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF) 2018

The Corporate Executive Office (CEO) Program is a trade show program designed to offer small and medium sized companies a method of exhibiting at a trade show.  It’s an alternative to the traditional trade show booth and offers a unique, cost-effective way for U.S. companies to participate.  The program provides not only an incubator-type platform for companies to experience the show and participate at a lower cost than the usual trade show booth, but also an onsite assistant to help with meetings, marketing, and basic interpretation.  The CEO is a specific area on the trade show floor (located within the USA Pavilion) that is subdivided into meeting space (with tables and chairs, one set per each U.S. company), business center (internet access, small desk, etc.) and small lounge/seating area.

 What is included:

  • Semi-private meeting space in CEO pavilion (within the USA Pavilion).  Space will include table, 4-chairs, and complimentary internet access.
  • Shared office center with receptionist and hospitality service.
  • Pre-show promotion across China.
  • Onsite assistant to help navigate CMEF experience.
  • Travel/Logistics guidance.

Healthcare Executive Service - Australia and New Zealand

The Healthcare Executive Service will offer a group travel experience to two dynamic markets for U.S. medical technology.  The trip will feature country market briefings, Gold Key matchmaking in Australia, interaction with government procurement officials in New Zealand, and receptions in both markets (New Zealand – Ambassador’s residence, Australia – International Patient Day).

CS Clients Get Results

The American Intercontinental Healthcare Group (AIHG), located in San Antonio, Texas, provides international clients with management consulting services, and assists third-party owners to develop American-standard hospital facilities, outpatient surgical centers, diagnostic centers and other healthcare businesses. AIHG wanted to increase its global sales and contacted the U.S. Commercial Service (CS) San Antonio office for assistance.

AIHG traveled to Ukraine and spent four days with CS healthcare specialists based in Kiev. CS Ukraine shared market knowledge and coordinated meetings for AIHG with the American Chamber of Commerce and Ukrainian Business Council. CS Ukraine also arranged for AIHG to attend a meeting with U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch and OPIC President and CEO Ray Washburne, who personally delivered AIHG’s project brief to Dr. Ulana Suprun, Ukraine’s Minister of the Health. Dr. Suprun expressed her interest in changing the current healthcare model to a more Westernized patient care delivery.

According to AIHG Business Development Director Ralph Foster, the firm increased its export footprint into Ukraine due to assistance provided by the CS.

AIHG signed a 10-year contract valued at $8.25 million that includes AIHG providing services during the design, preoperational planning and long-term management of the American Hospital Kiev. Additionally, the hospital will be equipped with the latest U.S. technology, including medical imaging equipment valued at over $7 million, and an integrated operating theater which will the first of its kind in Eastern Europe.
