 1.  Mid-November Filing Season Statistics for Individuals, Tax Year 2023

A table that provides data collected from Form 1040, U. S. Individual Income Tax Returns filed and processed through November 21, 2024 for Tax Year 2023, is now available on SOI's Tax Stats webpage. These data include selected income items, adjustments, credits, and taxes by size of adjusted gross income.

 2.  State Data, Tax Year 2022

State data, which include all 50 States, the District of Columbia, other areas, and Puerto Rico, for Tax Year 2022, are now available on SOI's Tax Stats webpage. The data present selected income and tax return items from the Form 1040, U.S. Individual Income Tax Return. A documentation guide is also available that provides an overview of the data, nature of changes, definitions, and other included items. New items this year include tax-exempt interest, total rental and royalty net income (less loss), and the Earned Income Credit by the number of qualifying children (see documentation guide for the full list of items). SOI collects these data as part of its annual program on Individual Income Tax Return Statistics, specifically Data by Geographic Areas, State Data.

 3.  Congressional District Data, Tax Year 2022

Congressional district data for Tax Year 2022 are now available on SOI’s Tax Stats webpage. The data present selected income and tax return items from the Form 1040, U.S. Individual Income Tax Return that cover the 435 congressional districts in the 50 states and the District of Columbia. Districts boundaries are based on the 117th Congress. A documentation guide is also available that provides an overview of the data, nature of changes, disclosure protection procedures, definitions, and other included items. New items this year include tax-exempt interest, total rental and royalty net income (less loss), and the Earned Income Credit by the number of qualifying children (see documentation guide for the full list of items). SOI collects these data as part of its annual program on Individual Income Tax Return Statistics, specifically Data by Geographic Areas, Congressional District Data.
