Thank you, IRS IVES Team *** previously published June 6, 2022*** Draft Form 4506-C available online Dear IVES participants, The Form 4506-C is being updated to fit the modernization and upgrade requirements. In an effort to provide our IVES Participants the opportunity to prepare for this change, the IRS has uploaded a Draft Form 4506-C on our IRS.gov website, https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-dft/f4506c--dft.pdf. The IVES Participants can utilize this Draft Form 4506-C to prepare internal software changes and educate your users on this new form. The Draft Form 4506-C cannot be utilized for submissions. The current expectation for publishing is Mid-October. The newly published Form 4506-C will be the only IVES acceptable form effective December 1, 2022. To support the OCR modernization needs for IVES, all Form 4506-C submissions with the new form will be required to mirror the exact published form. Attached is the f4506-c-2022-Schema that supplies the exact page layout coordinates, line spacing, margin requirements, and font definitions. For those IVES Participants that incorporate the IRS published form into their own software, you will need to ensure these requirements are followed. All IVES Participants will need to ensure the response lines remain in Arial size 12. The new Form 4506-C will no longer permit any editing of the form. IVES Participants will need to ensure their customers fill out the form as they intend it to be processed. Major changes to the form include:
