ATTN: Software Developers, Return Transmitters and Authorized IRS e-file Providers/EROs

The Employment Tax e-file System (94x XML e-file System), is incorrectly setting error code 266 when the element "DepositStateCode" contains "MU" for Forms 941 and 944. A correction will be implemented on or about January 09, 2012. We will notify you when that correction has been completed.
