1. New FATCA FAQ and Webpage Updates for DocRefID character restrictions
As of Friday, March 23, 2018, non-alphanumeric characters other than periods and dashes are no longer allowed in the DocRefID. FAQ 9a has been added under ICMM Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) section 1.3. Additionally, FATCA IDES Technical FAQ C.15 and the FATCA XML Schema Best Practices for Form 8966 DocRefId webpage have been updated to reflect this requirement.
