TE/GE Actuary Job Opportunities 

The IRS Tax Exempt and Government Entities Division has five permanent full-time Actuary GS 14 job positions available across the country. The application deadline is Thursday, April 19. As an actuary at the IRS, you’ll be responsible for work in one of two areas, policy or field work. Policy actuaries review private letter ruling requests, work on technical advice cases and assist with guidance projects. Field actuaries work closely with revenue agents on pension plan audits and provide technical expertise and guidance.

Educational requirements include having a Bachelor’s degree with courses in actuarial science, mathematics, relevant statistics, business, finance, economics, insurance or computer science totaling at least 24 semester hours. The course work must have a minimum of 12 semester hours of mathematics that include differential and integral calculus and one or more courses in mathematics for which these calculus courses were prerequisites.
