1.  FATCA IDES Testing

The FATCA International Data Exchange Service (IDES) opens for testing from Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 08:00 AM EDT (UTC/GMT -4) to Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 05:00 PM EDT (UTC/GMT -4) to all users that have completed IDES enrollment by Monday, June 13, 2016 at 5:00 PM EDT. Enrolled users will receive an email with a link to the current IDES test web application and SFTP on Thursday, June 16, 2015.

Before you begin

  • Verify that you have a valid certificate. Expired certificates will be rejected.

  • Reset your account password before the enrollment cutoff date. If the password expires after the enrollment deadline, you will not be able to access the test environment. Your password expires every 90 days. 

  • Review the current user profiles to add users and update administrators. Any subsequent changes after the enrollment cutoff date are not reflected and you will not be able to access the test environment.

  • Review sample code for data preparation utilities using .Net, Java and OpenSSL on GitHub. The test environment will only support the Cipher Block Chaining (CBC) cipher mode.  Data packets transmitted with the current Electronic Code Book (ECB) cipher mode will be rejected.

  • Use test data and DocTypeIndic codes FATCA11-14 only during open testing periods. Any production reporting codes, such as FATCA1, will be rejected. 

  • Be aware that data packets with errors will be rejected until no additional errors are found.
