1. Pre-Register Now for the 2015 IRS Nationwide Tax Forums Join tax professionals from across the country July 7 to 9 at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center near Washington, D.C., for the first of the 2015 IRS Nationwide Tax Forums. The Forums feature three days of the latest tax law information, hands-on workshops, networking opportunities, and exhibits of products and services to improve your business. The deadlines for pre-registration for each location are quickly approaching.

Modernized e-File (MeF) Unavailable this Saturday The Modernized e-File Production and Assurance Testing Systems (ATS) will be unavailable Saturday, June 6. The IRS will be conducting system maintenance from 6:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Please refrain from accessing the MeF Production and ATS Systems to transmit submissions, get acknowledgements, retrieve state submissions, send state acknowledgements or submit any other service requests during this time. 3. Office of Professional Responsibility Announces Disciplinary Sanctions The Office of Professional Responsibility publishes all disciplinary actions, including censure, suspension and disbarment from practice before the IRS, in the Internal Revenue Bulletin (IRB). The latest disciplinary actions are listed in the June 1 IRB. To view this and previous announcements, visit the Disciplinary Sanctions - IRB page on IRS.gov. 4. Tax Relief for Victims of Severe Storms in Texas and Oklahoma Victims of severe storms in Texas and Oklahoma may qualify for tax relief from the Internal Revenue Service. 5. YouTube: Online Resources Help Taxpayers Abroad Do you have clients living abroad? With the June 15 filing deadline for Americans abroad fast approaching, the IRS has launched three new online videos and expanded other online resources to help taxpayers, especially those living abroad, meet their U.S. tax obligations. 6. Interest Rates Unchanged for the Third Quarter of 2015 Interest rates will remain the same for the calendar quarter beginning July 1, 2015, the IRS announced this week.
