Want to learn how to use your FAM score for feedback on your program?
Get a FAM score refresher, one year later!
This month, we'll spend part of our Office Hours webinar focused on the FAM score, which we announced just over one year ago, on November 15, 2023. The goal of the FAM score is to provide you with helpful feedback on how your FSS program is working.
As a reminder, it is not being used for funding determinations at this time, a low score will not negatively impact your funding under the FSS FY24 Funding Notices, and there are no current plans for the FAM score to negatively affect your funding in the future.
Come join us at Office Hours for a refresher on what the FAM score is, how it's calculated, and how you can use it to help you continue to improve your FSS program! If you want to learn more about the FAM score ahead of time, you can explore the resources below.

Missed the Priority Deadline for FY24 FSS Funding?
It's not too late to apply!
Even though the priority deadline has passed, you can still submit your application if you haven't already. Please don't delay and apply as soon as you can in order to avoid any delays in receiving your FY24 funding!
Have questions? No worries, you can find FAQs, recordings of funding question session webinars, application instructions, and more on the FSS Funding Page.
Are you drawing down your funds?
FY23 Grantees should be nearing 90% expenditure and drawdown of your FY23 grant. There are many grantees that have drawn zero or close to zero, and we are approaching the end of the period of performance! Please ensure that your finance department has caught up with draws covering January 1, 2024 through the present.
What happens if you don't keep up with your draws?
If your voucher exceeds 10% of your total grant amoung in any month, it will trigger the requirement for an automatic review. If you see a REJECTED message, please notify your Field Office Grant Administrator/Portfolio Management Specialist (PMS) and ask them to check LOCCS, let you know what back-up documentation is required, and then release the funds. PBRA owners in this situation, please contact FSS@HUD.gov with a copy to MF_FSS@HUD.gov.
What can you be reimbursed for?
Check out the list of Eligible Activities from the FY21 and FY22 NOFOs. Remember: You may not be reimbursed for administrative work or supportive services. You may be reimbursed for up to 40 hours per week per position funded. That includes job sharing, but you may not pay for more positions (40 hours per position) than you were funded for.
