Be part of the National Vaccine Month of Action in your Community!
President Biden has announced June as a National Vaccine Month of Action to get 70% of adult Americans vaccinated before Independence Day on July 4.
Already, more than 175 million Americans have rolled up their sleeves to get a shot. More than half of all adults are now fully vaccinated – including 75% of all seniors. As a result, COVID-19 cases and deaths have plummeted more than 85% this year.
Looking for ways to join the National Vaccine Month of Action? You can play a critical role in helping your community to get vaccinated. HUD has continually updated resources to support your efforts, including this NEW Toolkit:
To increase access, confidence, and equity for the COVID-19 vaccine, HUD and HHS have joined forces to support enhanced collaboration between HUD-assisted communities and community health centers.
With Juneteenth (Saturday, June 19) and Father's Day (Sunday, June 20) this weekend, and summer just around the corner, now is the perfect time to host a HUD Strong Families COVID-19 vaccine event in your community.
Here are some FREE vaccination, childcare, and transportation incentives* being offered through the National Vaccine Month of Action:
-
Toolkit with contacts and resources for hosting on-site vaccination clinics

COVID-19 Vaccines Are Free to the Public
We have received a few questions about who is eligible for the vaccine and what is required to get one. The short answer is that EVERYONE aged 12 and up is eligible for a FREE vaccine, regardless of insurance or immigration status.
Here are some important details to keep in mind:
- COVID-19 vaccines are available for everyone at no cost.
- Vaccines were paid for with taxpayer dollars and will be given to all people living in the United States, regardless of insurance or immigration status.
- COVID-19 vaccination is an important tool to help stop the pandemic.
