Everyone Age 12 and Older is Now Eligible for the COVID-19 Vaccine!
Yesterday, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) endorsed the safety and effectiveness of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for everyone aged 12 and up. This announcement expands vaccination to 17 million additional adolescents throughout the country and is another important milestone in the effort to end the COVID-19 pandemic.
Providing COVID-19 vaccinations is part of the housing and health partnership that HUD Secretary Fudge and Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Becerra announced last week. This federal partnership provides a clear opportunity to establish or further expand contacts with local community health centers to improve vaccine confidence and access in your community.
You can read their joint letter and check out the fact sheet to see how HUD is supporting this effort. We welcome your questions and comments at PIH-COVID@hud.gov.
