The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Office of Inspector General (OIG) has issued its Semiannual Report to Congress for April 1 - September 30, 2025. This report highlights our oversight and enforcement efforts to safeguard taxpayer dollars and strengthen HUD programs.
Key Results:
- Audits: $19.1 million in collections; $219.4 million in questioned costs; $592,421 recommended for better use.
- Hotline: 12,724 complaints received and reviewed.
- Investigations: $17.1 million in recoveries and receivables; $5.4 million returned to HUD programs; 19 arrests; 28 indictments; 33 convictions; 24 civil actions; and 64 administrative sanctions.
- We also supported the DC Safe and Beautiful Task Force, the Memphis Safe Task Force, and DHS Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
