Office of Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes Lead Hazard Reduction Funding Opportunities
We are pleased to invite you to an upcoming webinar discussing the Office of Lead Hazard and Healthy Homes grant opportunities for city, county, and state governments, in addition to research institutions and universities. Eligible applicants are identified in the respective NOFOs below. This webinar will provide valuable insights and guidance on the application process, eligibility criteria, and key considerations.
Webinar Details:
Our Technical Studies grant programs are designed to improve the Department's and the public's knowledge of housing-related health and safety hazards, including the development of new methods for identifying and mitigating lead-based paint hazards that pose a particular health risk to young children. Applications are due August 6.
The goal of the Healthy Homes and Weatherization Cooperation Demonstration Grant Program is to determine whether the coordinated delivery of services by both HUD's Healthy Homes Production and DOE's Weatherization Assistance Program, achieves cost-effectiveness and better outcomes in improving the safety and quality of homes, including health and energy efficiency. Applications are due August 13.
Our flagship grant programs, Lead-based Paint Hazard Control/Reduction, are designed to identify and control lead-based paint hazards in poorly maintained, pre-1978, privately owned housing stock, with particular attention to the most vulnerable residents - children under 6 years of age. The NOFO includes supplemental funds to address other housing-based health hazards including pest infestation, causes of moisture and mold, electrical hazards, radon exposure and more. Applications are due August 19.
We encourage all interested parties to attend and learn more about this funding opportunity. Please feel free to share this invitation with colleagues or others who might benefit from this information.
We look forward to your participation.
