  • Policy Information Notice (PIN) 2013-01: Health Center Budgeting and Accounting Requirements.  The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has released PIN 2013-01, which provides information regarding budgeting and accounting requirements for health centers.  Beginning with applications in Fiscal Year 2014, HRSA will incorporate the federal budget requirements that are not new policy into application requirements.  A section of this policy is draft and open for public comment until August 30, 2013.  Comments on Section V.B., Accounting for Health Center Scope of Project Funding, Health Center Non-Grant Funds, should be sent to OPPDBudgetPIN@hrsa.gov.   Following the comment period, a final policy for this area will be available.   Review the released PIN 2013-01.
  • Health centers will soon receive the 2013 National Survey of Federally Qualified Health Centers conducted by the Commonwealth Fund, a private foundation committed to improving the quality of health care for our Nation’s most vulnerable.  BPHC is serving as a technical advisor to this project.  This survey presents a unique opportunity to assess health center capacities as medical homes and reflect individual health center successes at the national level.   The results will help inform the national dialogue on health care for America’s underserved.
This is not a HRSA survey and your participation is strictly voluntary.    If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Linda Lomelino at the Commonwealth Fund at 1-800-633-1986, ext. 4310 or llomelino@ssrs.com.
