Due Dates & Deadlines 

• Program Assistance Letter (PAL) 2013-06, “Calendar Year (CY) 2014 Free Clinics Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) Program Policy Guide” – This year, all FTCA Free Clinic applications must be submitted electronically through the Free Clinic deeming module within HRSA’s EHB. The EHB system will be available to begin receiving CY 2014 deeming applications on June 3, 2013.

• Helping Veterans and Their Families – HRSA has updated resources on their website to support safety net providers in treating veterans and their families and encourages providers to welcome these patients into care.

• FY 2013 Health Center Outreach & Enrollment Assistance supplemental funding opportunity (HRSA-13-279).  $150 million is being made available to Health Center Program grantees to expand current outreach & enrollment assistance activities and facilitate enrollment of patients and service area residents into affordable health insurance options. Access additional details about this opportunity, including information about when and how to apply. Applications for HRSA-13-279 are due in HRSA’s EHB on Friday, May 31, 2013 at 5:00 pm ET.


• Native Hawaiian Health Care Improvement Act (NHHCIA) Funding Opportunity (HRSA-13-238), a Congressional Special Initiative limited grant competition aimed at improving the provision of comprehensive disease prevention, health promotion, and primary care services to Native Hawaiians.  Please visit the NHHCIA funding opportunity announcement on grants.gov.  Applications for HRSA-13-238 are due in Grants.gov on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 by 11:59 pm ET.
