Thank You for Your Dedication and Hard Work!
Happy National Health Center Week (NHCW)! This year marks the 60-year anniversary of the Health Center Program – 60 years of progress made possible by your dedication and contributions. Your commitment, hard work, and compassionate care have a profound impact on the tens of millions of individuals and families served across the nation.
Today, we kicked off NHCW by releasing the new 2024 Uniform Data System (UDS) data showing HRSA-funded health centers served a record 32.4 million patients last year, an increase of 1.1 million patients. As we reflect on the past year’s achievements, I’d like to share a few key highlights from the newly released data. In 2024, health centers served:
- 25.1 million uninsured, Medicaid, and Medicare patients
- 1 in 8 children
- 1 in 5 people living in rural communities
- 1 in 15 patients 65 or older
- 408,000 veterans

To recognize these accomplishments, HRSA awarded Community Health Quality Recognition (CHQR) badges to nearly 1,000 health centers across the country for excellence in clinical quality. This year, HRSA awarded two new CHQR badges – Preventive Health and High-Value Care. The preventive health badge recognizes clinical quality in primary preventive health and the high-value care badge recognizes improvements in clinical quality while minimizing costs.
Be sure to visit HRSA social media (Facebook, X, LinkedIn and Instagram) this week for highlights on how HRSA-supported health centers are making great strides in providing high quality, primary health care.
Health centers are the backbone of the nation’s health care system—driving access, quality, and impact where it matters most. On behalf of BPHC, thank you and please take a moment to enjoy this week’s celebrations!
