Comments Requested: Proposed Policy Changes for Medicare Payments in the Physician Fee Schedule

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Proposed Rule for Calendar Year 2026. Telehealth-relevant proposals include allowing for the continuation of non-behavioral health visits furnished via telecommunication technology by Rural Health Clinics and Federally Qualified Health Centers through Calendar Year 2026 and streamlining the Medicare Telehealth Services List as well as other changes.
