Jim Macrae

Dear Colleagues,

The season of gratitude is here, and on behalf of all of us at the Bureau of Primary Health Care, we want to thank you for all you do.

We often talk about the impact you have on your communities. In 2023, you cared for more than 31 million people. For how many of them did that health care mean they could work, attend religious services, or help someone else? None of us can answer that with certainty. But I am certain that your work in providing access to quality health care had far-reaching effects.

We are all grateful to work with people who make such a difference.

Publishing the Health Center Program history book and website this year allowed us to reflect on how far we’ve come in nearly 60 years! That progress assures us that, with you, we will continue improving the health of people across America.

You inspire and motivate us — we couldn’t ask for better partners! Thank you.

We hope you, your friends, and families have a very happy Thanksgiving!

Sincerely,

Jim Macrae, Onyeka Anaedozie, and Tonya Bowers
HRSA Associate Administrator and Deputy Associate Administrators
