Join HHS leaders for an informational briefing on mpox clade I for providers who care for children and adolescents.
Mpox Briefing for Providers Who Care for Pediatric Populations Friday, September 13 3:00-3:45 p.m. ET Registration page
As you may know, the World Health Organization declared mpox a Public Health Emergency of International Concern on August 14 because of the emergence of clade Ib in Africa. While there has not been a case of clade I (a or b) identified in the U.S., HHS wants to share information with providers who care for pediatric populations on the epidemiology of clade I in children and adolescents ahead of any pediatric cases stateside.
Assistant Secretary for Health ADM Rachel Levine, MD, will join, as well as staff from CDC and FDA. You can submit questions in advance during registration. We expect that there will be time for additional questions.
