HRSA released the FY 2025 Service Area Competition (SAC) NOFO for service areas with a March 1, 2025, period of performance start date (HRSA-25-014).

Join the National Advisory Council on Migrant Health
The National Advisory Council on Migrant Health (NACMH) seeks five new members. Health center patient board members for health centers that serve migratory and seasonal agricultural workers (MSAWs) may apply. Members serve four-year terms. Interested? Email your résumé to HRSA.
This federal advisory committee aims to improve the health and well-being of MSAWs. It meets twice a year to advise and make recommendations to the HHS Secretary on policy, program development, and topics related to Migrant Health Centers and other organizations that serve MSAWs and their families. Quarterly 340B Program Registration
Quarterly 340B Program site registration is open from July 1 to 15. Health centers will be able to register a site that has been verified as implemented and with a site status reflected as “active” in EHBs Form 5B through Tuesday, August 27. After that date, the system will close to prepare for the October 1 start.
Email the 340B Prime Vendor Program or call 888-340-2787 (Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. ET) to register a new site or ask questions. You will need to provide the following information when calling:
- Health center name.
- Site/clinic name.
- Site IDs for all sites.
- HRSA/BPHC grant number.
- Contact name and email address.
- Authorizing official name and email address.
The Authorizing Official will receive an email message that the account is unlocked and a registration may be submitted.
Comment on Food Insecurity: Screening Recommendations
The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) invites comments on their draft recommendation for screening for food insecurity. Visit the USPSTF website for the draft and to submit comments by Monday, July 22.

Part 1: Speakers will explore prevalent diagnoses in children, the impact of maternal behavioral health conditions during the perinatal period, and various risk and protective factors influencing child well-being. They will cover childhood development from early childhood through adolescence, highlighting key milestones and challenges.

Treatment for Opioid Use Disorder: Population Estimates
Most adults who needed opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment in 2022 either did not perceive that they needed it (43%) or received treatment that did not include medications for OUD (30%). CDC researchers analyzed SAMHSA data to come to these conclusions. Higher percentages of White than Black or African American or Hispanic or Latino adults received any treatment. Higher percentages of men than women and of adults aged 35-49 years than other adults received medications. Read the full CDC report.

The American Medical Association’s free curriculum can help you implement and sustain evidence-based, systematic self-measured blood pressure (SMBP) monitoring programs. It consists of 15 mini modules divided into three sections: Fundamentals, Planning and Implementation, and Technology and Evaluation.
