DUE THURSDAY: Bridge Funding Reporting Requirement – Health Center COVID-19 Survey
Health centers using HRSA COVID-19 Bridge funds are required to complete the monthly Health Center COVID-19 Survey. The June 7 survey is due by 11:59 p.m. your local time on Thursday, June 13. Please ONLY report May data in this survey.
If your health center received a project period extension for using Expanding COVID-19 Vaccination (ECV) funds, you are also expected to continue reporting via the survey until your extension concludes.

WEDNESDAY: HUD Strong Families: Health Learning Session
Join HUD, CDC, HRSA’s Maternal and Child Health Bureau, and the National Center for Health in Public Housing for a learning session on the health of HUD-assisted residents. Speakers will share data and explore diverse topics: community violence prevention, mental health, maternal and child health, and child/family well-being. The session will also include a discussion with housing services staff (service coordinators, case managers, and other public housing agency personnel) about needs, challenges, and successes.

New Research Compares Complex Patients’ Use of Health Care at Health Centers and Other Providers
What does this study add?
It highlights differences in health care use among high-cost, high-need Medicaid beneficiaries who receive primary health care at HRSA-funded health centers versus other settings. Health center patients received equal or more primary care than their non-health center counterparts. They also had fewer specialty care, emergency room, and hospital visits.
What are the implications for the Health Center Program?
The Health Center Program can potentially reduce the costly health care burden among high-cost, high-need Medicaid beneficiaries through high-quality care.

NIH Launches $30 Million Pilot to Test Feasibility of a National Primary Care Research Network
NIH will invest approximately $30 million in total over FY 2024 and 2025 to pilot a national primary care research network that integrates clinical research with community-based primary care. The new initiative — Communities Advancing Research Equity for Health, or CARE for Health — seeks to improve access to clinical research to inform medical care, particularly for those in communities historically underrepresented in clinical research or underserved in health care.
