the upcoming national Auto-HPSA score update approaching in 2019, HRSA presents

U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) Update
USPSTF has posted a final research plan on screening
for bacterial vaginosis in pregnant adolescents and women to prevent preterm
delivery. The draft research plan for this topic was posted for public comment
earlier this year.

Post-Sexual Exposure (nPEP) HIV
Prevention Toolkit
The AETC Program Rural Health Committee has developed a new toolkit that provides guidance for
initiating post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) after known or possible HIV sexual
exposure for emergency departments and clinics, especially in rural areas. The

Health Care Strategies for the Justice-Involved Population
HRSA is hosting a
town hall webinar to highlight work done at the local and state levels to meet
the needs of this vulnerable group and examine the medical, operational, and

STAR² Center Spring Burnout Webinar Series
The Association of Clinicians for the Underserved
(ACU) is a HRSA-funded National Cooperative Agreement (NCA). Join their STAR² Center for a series of five weekly
webinars to define burnout and identify it in your organization, Administrative Strategies to Reducing Burnout. This series will highlight some common challenges in
primary care settings that lead to burnout and identify areas for intervention
and innovation at a personal and organizational level to reduce burnout and

HRSA Diabetes Quality Improvement
Talk Webinar Recording Available
HRSA hosted the Diabetes Quality Improvement Talk: Implementing the Standards
of Medical Care in Diabetes on March 27. The talk included an overview of the
American Diabetes Association’s 2018 Standards of Medical Care in Diabetes and
the University of New Mexico’s Endocrinology ECHO Program, a clinician
peer-to-peer virtual learning environment. The webinar also featured a health
center that has utilized the Endocrinology ECHO to build a successful diabetes

Recommended Immunization Schedule from the CDC and Medscape
The CDC and Medscape are offering a free online continuing education credit activity that describes the recommended
immunization schedule for adults aged 19 years or older in the United States,
based on updated guidance from the Advisory Committee on Immunization
Practices. The training activity is available from Medscape (free registration
is required). The report is available from the CDC in HTML or PDF.
