Hello!
The sun is out and it's starting to feel like summer here in Washington, D.C.!
We ended last month with a trip to the Bay Area, joining our civic tech colleagues at the Code for America Summit. We enjoyed meeting so many public service-oriented folks at our booth and supporting our Fellows who presented on streamlining user research, open source software, and the role of public interest technology in disaster recovery.
USDC Director Caitlin Gandhi also joined GSA Administrator Robin Carnahan at Stanford University for a conversation with students about public service careers as well as our leadership in advancing various elements of last year's AI executive order—including through the National AI Talent Surge and the AI Training Series for Federal Employees.

After visiting the Bay Area, Caitlin made a quick stop in Dallas, TX for the NICE conference to share how we are building early-career onramps into cybersecurity and related tech positions across the federal government.
Read on for opportunities to meet our team in the coming weeks and stay tuned for more updates this summer!
