The awards also recognize a team that has come together to tackle a big problem.
Nominations are now being accepted from our OCFO office directors, division and zone directors, and members of the OCFO front office. Nominations close on July 15, 2024. Visit the OCFO Google site to see the award criteria and read about last year’s nominees and winners.

New! July 4th Leave Guidance
Timesheet Guidance for the July 4th Independence Day Holiday 2024
Independence Day, Thursday, July 4th, 2024, is a Federal holiday for pay and leave purposes.
Full-time and part-time employees scheduled to work on Thursday, July 4th, are excused from duty and are entitled to holiday pay for that absence.
- Employees on a standard or flexible schedule are provided with 8 hours of holiday pay.
- Employees on a compressed schedule are provided holiday pay for the number of hours they would have been scheduled to work (i.e., 8, 9, 10 or 12 hours).
Full-time employees not scheduled to work on Thursday, July 4th, the calendar holiday, are eligible for a substitute “in-lieu-of holiday.” The in-lieu-of holiday is the scheduled workday immediately preceding the July 4th calendar holiday. For most full-time employees in this situation, the in-lieu-of holiday will therefore be observed on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2024.
Part-time and intermittent employees not scheduled for duty on Thursday, July 4th, are not paid for the holiday and are not entitled to an in-lieu-of holiday.
Timesheet Submission Deadlines: Due to the holiday, there will be a shorter payroll processing week for pay period 14 (June 16 - 29). Employees and supervisors should therefore submit all timesheets by the close of business Friday, June 28th. Supervisors should ensure that all timesheets are approved by 5pm Eastern Daylight Time on Monday, July 1st. Supervisors on leave can delegate their roles within HR Links to another supervisor (see this job aid to learn how).
If you have any questions, please contact your local timekeeper. You can also contact the Timekeeping Help-Desk.
