New! FY 2024 CFO Awards Kickoff
The CFO Awards were created to highlight exemplary work across the OCFO that aligns with our core values: bias towards action, collaborating for results, data-driven decision making, leading with integrity, and unlocking new value. The awards also recognize a team that has come together to tackle a big problem.
Nominations are now being accepted from our OCFO office directors, division and zone directors, and members of the OCFO front office. Nominations close on July 15, 2024. Visit the OCFO Google site to see the award criteria and read about last year’s nominees and winners.
If you have questions about the CFO Awards, send an email to ocfo@gsa.gov.

Your responses are confidential and help make GSA a better place for employees and for everyone we serve. The deadline for participation is June 28th.

New! Records Management Spring Update
This message is a spring reminder for records management. It may be time to conduct spring cleaning with your files. Please consider:
- Each project relies on someone responsible for the project records, and that someone is you. Your role is crucial, and if you haven't already done so, now is a good time to consolidate project records (and associated emails, the most common form of correspondence) into an organized set of folders on a shared network drive or shared Google drive. Files kept in individuals' electronic storage locations, such as personal Google drives, result in project files that are incomplete. Some guidance worth reviewing is Recordkeeping Tips.
- The National Archives and Records Administration will not be accepting analog records (records such as paper documents, paper photographs, paper architectural drawings) after June of this year for storage or archiving. This action is a significant shift, and we need to be prepared. Beginning July 1st, each office should no longer have any paper records that require storage at, or transfer to, the National Archives.
- Records Management is updating their annually required records management training and will roll it out next year. If you would like to suggest changes or additions for next year's training, please email Les Painter. Your input is appreciated.

Did You Know That Now is a Great Time to Check In On Your Use-or-lose Leave Balance?!
With Memorial Day behind us, and summer unofficially underway, this is a great time to check your leave balance and make plans for your leave that won't roll over into next year. You can log into HR links to see your projected use-or-lose leave balance.
For 2024, the leave year began on January 14th and ends on January 11, 2025. If you won't be able to use all of your use-or-lose before time runs out, consider donating it to GSA employees in need through the leave transfer program.
