New! You and Your Data
Two quick reminders about accessing financial data.
First, in case you missed the message, the GSA Corporate IT Applications website was decommissioned earlier this month. If you used that to access Business Objects or Pegasys, you can now find them on InSite.
The Pegasys Upgrade is taking place this weekend. As a result, data you access through Business Objects and PBS Oracle Analytics will be impacted. Early Friday morning will be the last VAT produced this week. This will be VAT 130 and will contain all of Thursday's transactions as you would normally expect. There will be no VAT 131 this week, which would normally be generated Saturday morning. The next VAT will be VAT number 133 and it is expected to be loaded into FMIS late Monday morning (prior to noon) and will contain all of Friday's transactions, as well as anything that might post Saturday and Sunday (if any). Once the data loads, it will still need to be updated in our BI systems. You may not need VAT 131 and VAT 133 until Tuesday morning.

Congrats to Vivi Tran-Chu
This week, Vivi Tran-Chu and her GSA IT colleagues Kathy Harvel and Marnie May were recognized by the Treasury Department for their efforts to bring transparency to federal spending.
Vivi, Kathy, and Marnie have spent countless hours capturing and analyzing GSA's financials and contract award data to ensure that GSA's DATA Act submissions have been as clean and accurate as possible over the years. This amounts to more than $20 billion worth of transactions each year, given GSA's role in the governmentwide economy.
Congratulations, Vivi, Kathy, and Marnie for receiving the The Data Transparency Award, and for setting high standards for the rest of government by making spending data more transparent to the public!

New! Save the Date for Upcoming Town Halls
Agency-wide Town Hall
Join agency leadership for a GSA town hall on Thursday, June 13th at 2 p.m. Eastern. The event will celebrate GSA as a Best Place to Work, kick off GSA’s 75th Anniversary celebrations, and more. Join the town hall via Zoom.
Submit your questions in advance through next Thursday, May 16th. To see previous questions and answers, visit this InSite page. On May 20th, voting will begin on the questions that will be addressed live at the event.
1800 F Presidential Transition Team Town Hall
On Tuesday, May 14, from 2–3 p.m. Eastern, join Bob Stafford for a town hall to discuss the impact the Presidential Transition Team's occupancy will have on 1800 F workspace and ask any questions you may have. New! Disabled Veterans Memorial Day Panel: Transition Experiences
On Tuesday, May 14, 2024, from 1 to 2 p.m. Eastern, GSA’s Persons with Disabilities Special Emphasis Program (PWDSEP) and Veterans Employment Resource Association will host a joint panel discussion centered around “Disabled Vet Experiences: Transitioning from the Military to the Federal Government and GSA.”
The discussion will feature four GSA veteran employees who you might work with, but whose story you might not have known. The panel will allow them to share their experience to widen awareness and highlight the diversity of the GSA team.
This event will be hosted in zoom and you can register in OLU.
American Sign Language interpreters and transcription services will be available. Several days after the panel, we will post the recording on the DEIA InSite page and a post-event transcript will be available upon request. Both will also be archived on the PWDSEP InSite page.
