New! Time to File Your Form 450
If you have not submitted your annual OGE Form 450 Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, your report is due by Thursday, Feb. 15. Before you submit your report, here's important information to make it easier for you.
-
Pre-population: the first time you open your report, you can copy information from your previous report by selecting Import your previous year’s information.
- You only have one chance to do this - it must be selected the first time you open your 2024 report.
-
Accountability: review and update all your information before submitting, especially if you import your previous report.
-
Legal reminder: An employee who files a false, incomplete or late report may be subject to adverse action; also, an employee who knowingly and willfully falsifies a report may also be subject to criminal prosecution.
Still have questions? Contact your Deputy Standards of Conduct Counselor to ensure you file a timely and accurate report.
Records Management Update
What is a records schedule?
How long do we keep records? What do the record schedules do for us? How many types of schedules are there? Do records schedules help us have the information we need, when in fact we need that information? What are the elements of a records schedule?
If you have any questions, please reach out to Les Painter.
New! The Clock is Still Ticking on the Current Leave Year; Consider Donating Leftover Annual Leave
Saturday, January 13, 2024, marks the end of the current leave year.
If HR Links forecasts that you will have “use-or-lose” annual leave hours - meaning, hours over the maximum carryover ceiling (usually 240 for General Schedule employees) - consider donating them to employees enrolled in the Voluntary Leave Transfer Program (VLTP). The VLTP allows you to donate annual leave to individuals facing personal or family medical emergencies.
New! Pay and Leave Guidance for the Martin Luther King Birthday Holiday 2024
Martin Luther King’s birthday, Monday, January 15th, 2024, is a Federal holiday for pay and leave purposes for all federal employees.
Full-time and part-time employees scheduled to work on Monday, January 15th, are excused from duty and are entitled to holiday pay for that absence.
- Employees on a standard or flexible schedule are provided with 8 hours of holiday pay.
- Employees on a compressed schedule are provided holiday pay for the number of hours they would have been scheduled to work (i.e., 8, 9, 10 or 12 hours).
Full-time employees not scheduled to work on Monday, the calendar holiday, are eligible for a substitute “in-lieu-of holiday.” The in-lieu-of holiday is the scheduled workday immediately preceding the Martin Luther King Birthday calendar holiday. For most full-time employees in this situation, the in-lieu-of holiday will therefore be observed on Friday, January 12th, 2024.
If you have any questions, please contact your local timekeeper. You can also contact the Timekeeping Help-Desk.
