Complete Your Mid-year Review Before Next Wednesday!
If you haven't completed your mid-year review yet, there's still time to get it done before the May 31st deadline.
Here are a few tips for success:
- Clear your cache. GSA IT recently completed a software upgrade that requires you to clear your web browser cache to properly access HR Links.
- Prepare an optional self-assessment [download], an ideal way to outline your successes and accomplishments. Reference the employee job aid on completing a self-assessment in HR Links.
If you have questions, please contact your servicing HR office.

Reminder! Pay and Leave Guidance for the Memorial Day Holiday
This year, Memorial Day falls on Monday, May 29th. Employees scheduled to work that day will receive holiday pay. Employees on a standard or flexible schedule are provided with 8 hours of holiday pay. Employees on a compressed schedule are provided holiday pay for the number of hours they would have been scheduled to work on that day (i.e., 8, 9, 10, or 12 hours).
Some full-time employees may not be scheduled to work on the holiday. If you are in this group, you are instead eligible for an in-lieu-of holiday. The in-lieu-of holiday is the last workday immediately before Memorial Day. For most employees, the in-lieu-of holiday will be observed on Friday, May 26th.
To record holiday time off, use the time reporting code 002-Holiday Observed. Do not place any information into the “Additional TRC,” “Labor Code,” or “Task Code” fields.
You can direct timekeeping questions to your organizational time administrator or to the timekeeper help desk (timekeeping.help-desk@gsa.gov).

Shout out to Dave Garza (BG)!
The OCFO Equity Team would like to thank Dave Garza for coordinating the first ever Equity Team facilitated DEIA training. As background, in an effort to build a sustainable DEIA culture within the OCFO, every month, the Equity Team sub Co-Chairs for Training review DEIA training opportunities. Once they complete their review and selection for the upcoming month, each two-letter Director is provided with the information to share with and encourage their workforce to participate in the voluntary training session.
During the month of April, Unconscious Bias was one of the courses identified. Unfortunately, the classes were full. Dave recommended we contact OHRM to see if they would hold a special instructor facilitated session. His efforts, in partnership with OHRM and OCR, resulted in two sessions on Unconscious Bias for the OFCO workforce. As an outcome, both sessions were well attended and ultimately provided the participants with additional knowledge for their DEIA toolkit.
Thanks for stepping up Dave!
