New! Upcoming GSA Employee Break Rooms
The Office of Human Resources Management has two employee break room sessions scheduled for September:
At the end of both presentations, there will be a Q&A session for you to get answers to some of your most pressing benefits and retirement questions.
The session recordings will be available on GSA Central for later viewing.
If you need reasonable accommodation to participate in these sessions, please reach out to your servicing reasonable accommodations coordinator.
New! Important Changes to the GSA Symptom Screening Process
Beginning today, GSA has an updated symptom screening process.
All employees are still required to fill out the GSA Daily Check-in form, and employees indicating that they intend to report to a GSA facility will still be required to complete the existing symptom screening form.
However, employees reporting to a facility will no longer be required to show symptom screening results to a Federal Protective Service (FPS) security guard or supervisor prior to entry. Instead, employees are responsible for following the instructions on the symptom screening form regarding whether they are permitted to report to a facility (green bar) or whether they are not permitted to report to a facility (red bar). Employees must also adhere to posted safety guidance at facilities.
If you have additional questions regarding the updates to the GSA Symptom Screening process or other COVID-19 related safety protocols, please email SaferGSAWorkforce@gsa.gov.

Be Sure to Code Your Timesheet Properly for the Labor Day Holiday
Monday, September 5th was a legal public holiday for pay and leave purposes for all federal employees.
Full-time and part-time employees scheduled to work on Monday, September 5, 2022, were excused from duty and entitled to holiday pay. Employees on a standard or flexible schedule were provided with 8 hours of holiday pay. Employees on a compressed schedule were provided holiday pay for the number of hours they would have been scheduled to work on that day (i.e., 8, 9, 10, or 12 hours).
Employees who were not scheduled to work on Monday, September 5, 2022, received an in-lieu-of holiday. For most employees, this in-lieu-of holiday was Friday, September 2, 2022.
To record holiday time off, use the Time Reporting Code "002-Holiday Observed.” Do not place any information into the “Additional TRC,” “Labor Code” or “Task Code” fields.
Be sure your timesheet accurately reflects your holiday time off. Please direct questions in timesheet reporting to your HR point of contact.
