Launching Today: The President's Management Agenda

Carnahan masthead

Dear GSA colleagues,

I’m pleased to share with you the President’s Management Agenda (PMA). It’s a roadmap we’ll use to help ensure that GSA - and the entire federal government - delivers concrete results for the American people in an equitable, effective, and accountable way.

The PMA has three priorities:

  • strengthening and empowering the federal workforce - all of you
  • delivering excellent, equitable and secure federal services and customer experience, which is central to our mission at GSA
  • managing the business of government to Build Back Better

You can check out the full Biden-Harris Management Agenda Vision at performance.gov/pma.

This builds on the great work you’re already doing. With the PMA as a blueprint, we’ll be able to continue your efforts to improve how government does business, to deepen trust in government, and to help GSA and our partners deliver for the public. We’ll also address pressing challenges and make the most of opportunities, including strengthening our economic recovery, confronting climate change, advancing equity, and more.

There’s a reason that the first priority is strengthening and empowering all of you. Achieving the goals will only happen with your help. So, I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the PMA, including those of our unions.

You’ll be able to track quarterly progress on the PMA at performance.gov. We’ll also keep everyone updated on additional steps we’ll be taking in the months ahead with our partners at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and the President’s Management Council (PMC), on which I serve.

As President Biden said in outlining this agenda, “There is nothing we can’t achieve if we unite around a common purpose.” I couldn’t agree more. Thank you for your tireless contributions and your commitment to public service.

Sincerely,

Robin
