Reminder: Performance Closeout
Performance Appraisals & Plans Your FY21 performance appraisals and FY22 performance plans must be discussed and completed in HR Links by Monday, November 15, 2021.
Award Preference If you prefer to receive your individual performance award as time off (instead of as a cash award) or if you selected time off last year and prefer a monetary award this year, you should indicate your award preference through HR Links by November 15. Reference this guide for instructions on indicating your award preference.

The Competitive Development Program (CDP) provides participants at various stages in their careers the opportunity to build the leadership skills, knowledge, and behaviors required to meet current and future business needs at GSA.

The 2021 Federal Data Strategy Action Plan is out — have you taken a look? The Federal Data Strategy (FDS) encompasses a 10-year vision for how the Federal Government will accelerate the use of data to deliver on mission, serve the public, and steward resources while protecting security, privacy, and confidentiality. Building on the 2020 Action Plan, the 2021 Action Plan sets out aspirational milestones to encourage agencies to make steady progress on the FDS vision.

It's not too late! The OCFO Data Delivery and Management Division will host its first virtual training session of the new fiscal year on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern when they present Introduction to Business Intelligence. This course will help to answer the following questions:

- How is business intelligence used within the OCFO?
- What are the main tools used to generate this intelligence?
- How can I learn more?

New: How to Cultivate Work Relationships in a Zoom World
This article from Next Avenue lists four ways to build bonds with colleagues when work is virtual.
The TL;DR version: make relationship-building a daily practice; add variety to your methods of connection — think virtual lunches and walk-and-talk meetings over the phone; actively listen for opportunities to connect; and participate in small affinity groups at work.
