Reminder: SAM.gov Removing Out-dated Application Programming Interface (API) September 13, 2024
GSA, General Services Administration (External) sent this bulletin at 08/19/2024 07:35 AM EDT
If you use SAM.gov’s Exclusions API, this is another reminder that you must take action prior to September 13, 2024 to ensure you are using the most current version.
We are implementing changes to SAM.gov’s Exclusions API on September 13, 2024 that will make it easier for you to comply with federal acquisition regulations.
Older versions of the Exclusions API (versions 1, 2, and 3) will no longer be available after the change. Please go to open.gsa.gov and update directly to V4 now to ensure you are able to continue receiving information from SAM.gov through the API after September 13, 2024.
No action is necessary if you do not use the Exclusion API or if you already use V4. No other SAM.gov APIs are impacted.
Version 4 is the most current version and the only one with a field indicating which exclusions are Federal Acquisition Supply Chain Security Act (FASCSA) orders. The FASCSA orders field is on the production version of the API only; it is not available on the alpha version. On the API documentation page, you can also view query string parameters, expected results, a link to the OpenAPI specification codes, and see examples.
