Welcome to the newest Child Care Center in our network: Transportation Systems Center (TSC) Child Care Center.
On September 19, 2023, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held celebrating the opening of the John A. Volpe Federal Building. This new facility in the middle of Cambride was a successful partnership between Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT); the U.S. Government; State Government; and City Government. The building will house the Department of Transportation, FEMA, Army North and a beautiful new Child Care Center! The Child Care Board of Directors selected the Everbrook Academy as the child care provider. This new state of the art 8,000 sq ft center will serve 68 children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. The TSC Child Care Operated by Everbrook Academy of Cambridge will open in 2024.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) helps raise awareness about the importance of protecting children, especially those in ultra vulnerable populations, from environmental threats where they live, learn and play. In recognition of Children's Health Month, EPA updated its healthy schools website with resources for teachers, school nurses, facilities managers, and the public.

National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week is October 22-28. We want to bring awareness to the importance of routine water flushing to help ensure water quality. Routine water flushing practices can proactively help prevent elevated lead and copper levels in drinking water. For guidance on flushing, refer to EPA 3Ts Flushing Best Practices. To learn more about reducing children’s exposure to pollutants, visit the EPA Healthy Child Care website.
