It’s GO Time: The NEW Acquisition Gateway is Here!
NEW Acquisition Gateway Just Launched
Have you heard? The new Acquisition Gateway 3.0 is LIVE! AcquistionGateway.gov launched September 1st with a new URL and a new look and feel. The Gateway is accessible to all users. Remember to update your bookmarks and saved websites with the new link.
Prepared to be wowed with new features, learn more:
- Modern, user-friendly interface
- Improved search functionality
- Easier navigation to information, applications, and tools
- Direct access to key acquisition programs like category management (CM) and the govt.-wide Quality Service Management Offices (QSMOs)
- Register for government-wide acquisition events and training
As part of a modernization project, the new Gateway includes content focused on category management, Best-in-Class solutions, CM policies and guidance, and other acquisition-specific topics that apply government wide.
The Gateway tools you know and love are on the new site, including Solution Finder and Forecast of Contracting Opportunities.
Some legacy features will be migrated to buy.gsa.gov, such as the Independent Government Cost Estimator (IGCE) tool and the RFQ Wireless Generator.
And, a special shoutout to our Gateway content managers and users for ensuring program information is updated and their ongoing collaboration.

City Pair Program FY24 Contracts Awarded
Currently, government commercial airline travel is at 85% of pre-covid levels. In July 2023, GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service awarded the FY24 City Pair Program (CPP) contracts to 8 airlines. The FY24 contracts were awarded in 13,391 total markets, a 10% increase from FY23, providing the ability for agencies to capture more spend under management. The CPP awards represent over 90% of trips flown by government travelers to complete their missions. CPP benchmarks 53% lower than comparable commercial fares with the same refundable benefits and is estimated to save taxpayers $2.42B in FY24. Read more about the awards here.

Office Management Hosts Industry Working Group
GSA's Integrated Workplace Acquisition Center (IWAC) hosted its first in-person industry engagement meeting for the furniture and furnishings suppliers since before the COVID pandemic. The meeting brought together 250+ industry partners, and more than 100 industry partners were able to tour the Workplace Innovation Lab (WIL) with IWAC because of this in-person event.

Reminder: FY24 Agency Plans Due Soon - Oct. 31st
Don’t forget - the FY24 annual category management planning season is in full swing! All agencies’ FY24 plans will be due to OMB (from your agency's Senior Accountable Official) by October 31st, 2023. As you're developing your plans, visit the Acquisition Gateway’s FY24 planning pages for access to all of the agency planning documents, targets, planning template/instructions, recordings of the previous two trainings, and KPI methodology. Sept. 7, July 18 - Agency Planning Seminar
The govt.-wide CM PMO hosted a training session on the tools to help agencies develop their FY24 CM annual strategic plans. A recording from the training session can be found on the Acquisition Gateway here.
June 13 - Dashboard Demonstration: Small Business & Category Management
The govt.-wide CM PMO data team hosted a live dashboard demonstration, “ Small Business within Category Management,” which featured a technical overview of the existing tools and support for agencies, categories, and other stakeholders to review their small business trends and performance within category management scope.
