Keeping Your SAM.gov Registration Current: Financial Information
GSA, General Services Administration (External) sent this bulletin at 03/15/2023 10:10 AM EDT
If you have an active federal award (for example, a contract or grant), the federal government uses your SAM.gov financial information to send you payments. When your bank account information changes, you need to update your entity registration in SAM.gov promptly so you get paid without interruption.
In order to make bank account changes in SAM.gov, you must have the bank account information on your current entity registration available for reference. It is vital that you have this information.
Here are some things to know:
- When you view your bank account information in your registration, your routing number and account number are hidden for security reasons.
- To change your routing number and account number, you must correctly enter the complete current information first.
- If your account number has one or more leading zeros, be sure to enter them.
-
If you don’t know your current information and can’t get it from someone within your organization:
- Download your registration record now by selecting the “Download” link from the Entity Record.
- Find all the users who have roles with your entity and record their email addresses and roles.
- Go to fsd.gov and report the issue. Make sure to provide your Unique Entity ID.
- Note: this path should be a last resort.
Remember, make sure you have the bank account information from your current entity registration available before you start your update. If you don’t know your bank account information and have to work with the Federal Service Desk (FSD), the process is complex and can take up to several weeks to complete.
