Impacting GSA's Office of Small Business Utilization in the First Year

The Office of Small Business Utilization, Associate Administrator, A. Jerome Fletcher II celebrated his first year in OSBU on October 20th. In that time, Mr. Fletcher has demonstrated his passion for small business through his leadership not only at GSA but across the Federal government. He was recently appointed Chair of the Interagency Federal OSDBU Directors Council (www.OSDBU.gov) which allows him a greater influence on the efforts made by our Federal representatives. Fletcher’s mantra in GSA has been “Small Business First”, which will be shared through his leadership of the council. These members share information and use it to more effectively utilize small businesses in prime contracts and subcontracts to the maximum extent practicable.
He is also serving as Campaign Manager for the 2015 Combined Federal Campaign with a goal to raise over $400,000 in the National Capital Area for charities who make a difference in the lives of others everyday. This is just a start to his accomplishments!
Fletcher has been instrumental in GSA’s commitment to small businesses, which is evident in the more than 1.6 Billion in sales that has gone to small businesses so far in fiscal year 2015. Currently, GSA is on schedule to meet all of its small business and socioeconomic goals for the fiscal year!
