FSIS Posts Data on NPIS Requests and Conversions
FSIS frequently receives Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests for the number of poultry plants that have requested to convert to the New Poultry Inspection System (NPIS) and for the number of plants that have converted to the NPIS. In effort to be more transparent and to better inform the public, FSIS is now posting that information on our website at https://www.fsis.usda.gov/wps/portal/fsis/topics/regulatory-compliance/haccp/haccp-based-inspection-models-project/himp-study-plans-resources/npis-plants. This list will be updated on a monthly basis.

FSIS Requests Comments on Sample Dataset and Data Documentation
FSIS is preparing to publish the next set of establishment specific datasets as announced in the Federal Register on July 14, 2016 (Docket No. FSIS-2014-0032). Prior to publishing these datasets, FSIS is making sample datasets available.
