FSIS Releases Import Guidance for Comment 
FSIS has published and is requesting comment on guidance for importing meat, poultry, and egg products into the United States.

Establishment Specific Datasets Now Available
FSIS has posted a new establishment specific dataset on the FSIS website as announced in the Federal Register on July 14, 2016 (Docket No. FSIS-2014-0032).

FSIS Posts Updated PHIS Export XML Specification 
In preparation for June 29, 2018 PHIS Automated Export implementation, the Agency has posted its Public Health Information System (PHIS) Preliminary Batch Export XML Specification, version 2 and a XSD schema for industry stakeholders.

Reminder: Educational Meetings on the Implementation of Siluriformes Inspection
On June 16, 2017, FSIS announced two educational meetings—the first one occurred on June 27, 2017 in Richmond,Va. and the second is scheduled to take place on July 20, 2017 in Baltimore, Md. The primary objectives of the meetings are to provide updated information to stakeholders and to encourage dialogue between FSIS and the Siluriformes fish industry.
