FDPIR Food Package Review Workgroup Meeting
On February 10, 2026, the FPDIR Food Package Review Workgroup met in Washington, D.C., to discuss the FDPIR food package. The workgroup brings together experts including Federal and Tribal health professionals, NAFDPIR officials, and other representatives from the Indian Tribal Organizations and State agencies that administer FDPIR to regularly assess the FDPIR food package. Attendees heard welcoming remarks from Deputy Under Secretary Patrick Penn and learned about the Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2025-2030 from FNS Chief Policy Officer Eve Stoody. During the meeting, workgroup members discussed the food package and opportunities for improvement. Attendees also had an opportunity to taste test extra virgin olive oil, one of the newest products added to the food package.
