National Minority Health Month

Every April, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Minority Health (OMH) observes National Minority Health Month to highlight the role individuals and organizations, such as WIC staff, can play in helping to reduce health disparities and improve the health of racial and ethnic minority and American Indian/Alaska Native communities.

Routine Immunizations on Schedule for Everyone (RISE)

Many children and adults delayed vaccination during the COVID-19 pandemic and are still behind schedule on routine immunizations.  Encourage WIC participants to take action to get routine vaccinations back on-schedule.  Let's RISE is a CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) initiative.
