TEFAP Reach and Resiliency Round 2 Grants Awarded

In June 2023, FNS awarded $58.5 million in TEFAP Reach and Resiliency - Round 2 grant awards to 40 TEFAP State agencies. The TEFAP Reach and Resiliency - Round 2 grant is intended to further expand TEFAP’s reach into remote, rural, Tribal, and/or low-income areas that are underserved by current TEFAP program operations, and provides State agencies with additional resources to work with new and/or current partner organizations to do so. Project activities in Round 2 look similar to those in Round 1, with many projects building off of Round 1 work that has been completed or is in progress. Among other activities, State agencies and their partners will use Round 2 funding to:

  • Further expand mobile distribution and home delivery efforts,
  • Bolster cooling and freezing infrastructure, and
  • Build new partnerships in remote, rural, Tribal, and low-income areas.

More information regarding the projects awarded under Round 2 can be found here. A description of Round 1 projects is also available here.

New WBSCM Consolidation Workbench Search Filters

The WBSCM Consolidation Workbench/Consolidate Requisitions feature was updated on November 30, 2023. The updates included improvements to workbench performance to help avoid system timeouts as well as the addition of new search filters.

The filters allow users to narrow down the number of requisitions pulled for a product/material. The available filters include Program, Sold-To Party, Ship-To Party, and Ship-To Delivery Date, with each filter allowing for multiple selections.

Detailed information will be available in the December WBSCM release communications.
